Marketing & Communications Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a creative professional and team-oriented individual to join our marketing team as Marketing & Communications Officer at our UK Head Office.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our marketing and communications strategy through a variety of marketing channels and mediums.

The role provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to shape and influence the company’s digital communications strategy whilst working within a friendly team and working environment.

Key Responsibilities and tasks will include:

Strategy

  • Support the Marketing Manager in the implementation of a marketing and communications strategy.
  • Assume responsibility for the implementation of the communications strategy, managing key marketing channels, such as CRM, social media and public relations.

Marketing & Communications

  • Plan, develop and deliver dynamic and engaging content for use across brand owned media.
  • Execute the development, management and growth strategy of the subscription assets of the business, including email marketing and social media.
  • Create exciting and relevant copy for use across various media, including product packaging, website blogs, social media, press releases and various marketing materials.
  • Produce content that is optimised for audience development, management and growth.
  • Ensure all content is legal, accurate and in line with the company mission and values.

Public Relations

  • Manage all PR, including press releases, generating editorial, reviews and advertorial.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key press contacts and external agencies for digital and print media.

Events

  • Assist with the planning and promotion of external events throughout the year.
  • Plan and execute internal product launch events.

 

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Demonstrate an ROI on all activities undertaken.
  • Deliver regular and informative reports on all activities undertaken, whilst reviewing and making recommendations for future activity.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity, market trends and opportunities.

Candidate Specification:

Essential

  • Embodies the values of Wahl (UK) Limited.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of effective marketing communications and PR.
  • Good understanding of the marketing funnel and how your work influences the customer journey.
  • Extremely high standard of written and verbal communications, demonstrating a high attention to detail across all communications.
  • Knowledgeable on marketing best practices.
  • Naturally creative mindset with an eye for developing new and exciting ways of presenting new and existing concepts.

Desirable

  • Experience of working within a similar role within the consumer electronics retail sector.
  • Experience of running successful marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of planning and coordinating photo/video shoots.
  • Experience of CRM software.
  • Experience of WordPress or similar website CMS platform.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Suite.

 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week     Monday to Friday 8:00 / 8:30am – 5:00pm

Location: Sterling House, Clipper Close, Ramsgate, CT12 5GG
